Breathing Guide: Calm & Focus — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Breathing Guide provides breathing exercises with generated tones, optional voice guidance, haptics, and screen-off controls. The app works offline. This release does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information or usage data.
Information stored on your device
- Sound, voice, haptic, motion, and screen-off preferences.
- User-created breathing rhythms.
- A one-time safety-notice acknowledgement.
- Notification-permission request state.
The app does not store breathing-session history, health information, account details, email addresses, or advertising identifiers. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored information.
Network use
Breathing Guide does not request internet access. Timing, generated tones, vibration, settings, and custom rhythms operate on the device.
Permissions
- Notifications — controls for a user-started screen-off session.
- Foreground service — keeps a user-started session running when the screen is locked or another app is open.
- Vibration — optional haptic phase cues.
- Wake lock — keeps session timing reliable while a screen-off session is active.
Third-party services
This release has no ads, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, cloud sync, developer-operated backend, or account service.
Optional voice guidance uses the Android text-to-speech engine installed on the device. The app sends only short phase labels such as “Inhale” and “Exhale” to that system service. The selected engine is governed by the device owner’s Android and provider settings.
Wellness
Breathing Guide is a general wellness tool. Breathe gently and stop if you feel dizzy or lightheaded. The app is not a substitute for medical care.
Children
Breathing Guide does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy will be updated before a release changes these data practices.
