Mock GPS : Change Location — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Mock GPS lets you choose a place and provide that location to other apps on your phone through Android’s mock-location feature. The app has no account and no developer-operated backend. We do not sell personal data. This release does not show ads.
What stays on your device
- Places you select and the active mock-location session.
- Recent search results cached on the device.
Android backup is disabled for this app. Uninstalling it removes its local data.
Location
Fine and coarse location are requested only when you choose to use your current location as the starting point. That reading stays on the device unless you then run a place lookup, described below. The mock location itself is supplied to Android on your phone. It is not uploaded to Sushila Creatives.
Place search and maps
When you search or look up a place name, the app contacts these services directly:
- Photon (photon.komoot.io) receives your search text. A reverse lookup sends the latitude and longitude of the selected point.
- OpenStreetMap tiles (tile.openstreetmap.org) are requested to draw the map. Tile requests include the map area and your IP address.
Those providers process the request under their own policies. Sushila Creatives does not receive a copy of the search or the coordinates.
Permissions
- Mock location — so Android can list this app in Developer options.
- Location — only for the “use current location” action.
- Internet — place search, reverse lookup, and map tiles.
- Notifications and foreground service — show that a mock location is active.
Children
Mock GPS does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This page will be updated if these data practices change.
