Simple QR: Scan & Create — Privacy Policy

Simple QR scans and creates QR codes and barcodes on your Android device. The app has no account and no developer-operated backend. We do not sell personal data.
What stays on your device
- Scan and created-code history, including the code text, type, time, and whether you marked it as a favorite.
- Wi-Fi QR codes can include a network name and password. Those stay in the on-device history. Passwords are masked on screen. This store is not an encrypted vault.
- Theme, vibration, and sound preferences.
Android backup and device transfer exclude this app data. Deleting a history item removes it from the phone. Uninstalling the app removes the local database.
Camera and images
The camera is used only while you scan. You can also pick an image. Recognition runs on the device with a bundled model. The app does not upload the camera frame or the photo you picked to Sushila Creatives.
Actions you start
- Copy, share, or export a code only when you choose that action. A shared image is a temporary file.
- Opening a website from a code uses your browser.
- A barcode web search opens Google with that code’s text. Google receives the search.
Advertising
The app uses Google AdMob for banner and native ads. Ads are not shown on the camera, image-processing, or result view. Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for consent before ads are requested. AdMob may process device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostics under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Scanned content, Wi-Fi passwords, and history are not sent to the ad network.
Permissions
- Camera — scan a code. The torch uses the camera light while scanning.
- Photos — only an image you pick.
- Internet and network state — ads, consent, and a search or link you open.
- Vibration — optional scan feedback.
Children
Simple QR does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This page will be updated if these data practices change.
